Baby Bright is a marvellous collection of videos, specially developed in conjunction with Professor Annette Karmiloff-Smith a professorial research fellow at the Developmental Neurocognition Lab at Birbeck, University of London, with music, movement, colour and sound to stimulate your infant, making them an active participant rather than a passive viewer. This programme has been built specifically to attract and retain a small child's attention. The scientific method called "violation of expectation", which has been used in infant research for the last 10 years, is used with great success here. It means babies learn by repetition, so first of all they see lots of repeated sequences, eventually moving their eyes to the anticipated events on the screen. Suddenly it all changes! Thus the video creates the element of surprise for the child, and by surprising them after each sequence, helps build new connections in the brain.
The surprises in the video include: turning a train upside down, changing from a circle to a square, a star to a circle, changing colours and movements, and the voice of an adult becoming that of a child. The video also presents partial views, like a cat's whiskers or a cat's eye, eventually letting the infant discover and anticipate the whole of the cat's face. All of these events help the infant to think, notice repetitions, plan eye movements and altogether build up their brain structure.
This video has been specially designed by experts to help your growing baby learn about colours, movements, sounds, objects and music. The special programme will help both stimulate and amuse your child and promote rapid learning.
Baby Bright is a revolutionary new infant learning programme and is based on a scientific approach, encouraging baby to anticipate what might come next, to notice repetitions and changes and to make connections. Following on from the first DVD release in this specialized programme series, Baby Bright 2 encourages baby to actively learn about the behaviour of objects, parts and wholes, size, shape and numbers.
Another programme from this series that has been specially designed by experts to help your growing baby learn about colours, movements, sounds, objects and music. This special programme will help both stimulate and amuse your child and promote rapid learning.
Educational programme for babies and very young children using the familiar and much-loved subjects of farm animals and machinery to illustrate simple but stimulating cognitive experiences. The number of sheep, the size of a bucket and the colour of a tractor are just three of the carefully-researched scientific principles explored in the programme, designed to be shared by the parent and the child.
