Released by Abbey Home Media on 10 March and supported by a major nationwide TV advertising campaign, The New Adventures Of Mona the Vampire will retail at the fiendishly fantastic value for money price point of just £7.99 (VHS) and £9.99 (DVD). One of the few children's titles (apart from those released by the major film studios) to be released on DVD, the format will feature a specially created moving menu; a hilarious photo gallery and illuminating character biographies.

Like most children of her age, ten-year-old Mona delights in the icky and the eerie. However, to better investigate bizarre goings on, Mona takes her interests one step further. All it takes is some of her mother's make-up, a dining room curtain for a cape and some plastic glow-in-the-dark fangs and she becomes her outrageously courageous alter ego, Mona the Vampire.

But Mona's image isn't just a fashion statement; it's a way of life. In her world, the everyday becomes extraterrestrial, the mundane becomes monstrous and the simple becomes sublime.

Suitably attired and accompanied by cat Fang and best friends Charley (aka Zapman) and Lily (otherwise known as Princess Giant), Mona vows to track down all the weird and wacky things that live in her imagination.
