Abbey Home Media Wins Broadcast and Distribution Deals in Israel For Wide Eye and Baby Bright with Hop! TV.

Abbey Home Media has secured an international deal with Hop TV in Israel for its hit pre-school shows Wide Eye, and Baby Bright.

Launched in February 2000, Hop!was the world’s first full service TV channel to cater exclusively to the special needs of TV's youngest audience: children ages 1-7. Today Hop! is an essential part of the basic package available to all of Israel's cable and DBS subscribers, reaching 1.4 million homes, broadcasting daily from 5:00 am to 20:00 pm.

Wide Eye’s expanding broadcast distribution makes it one of the fastest growing series in the worldwide market for pre-school children’s shows.

Made by the BAFTA award – winning King Rollo Films (Spot, Maisy) the 26 x 10 minute episode series is based on the internationally successful Wide Eye Early Learning Programme, which has been sold in over 30 countries. Targeted at children aged 3-6 the series is set in the magical world of the Natterjack Forest, home to a delightful cast of unique animal characters. Pre-schoolers world-wide will revel in the adventures of the lovable baby owl Little Hoot; his best friend Flea; the playful Natterjack toads; 99 the dozy but lovable centipede; arch mischief maker Wily Komodo and his son Baby Komodo.

Baby Bright is a revolutionary new infant learning range developed in conjunction with Professor Annette Karmiloff-Smith, a leading child specialist and one of the world’s leading authorities in baby development. Strong on fun and entertainment, the range of books, audios and videos is full of attractive colours, exciting textures, touch, sensation and music designed to maximise babies’ attention span and develop their curiosity.
